Situation of the property
Description of neighbourhood
Between 1960 and 1965 many new houses where built in the Overakker area (South of Breda) which lead to the current neighbourhood. There is a large variety of type of houses in this area: mostly low buildings, but also flat blocks and small parts with villas. About 3.100 inhabitants live there. In this district more than 60% of the residents are older than 55 years. This number is strongly influenced by the presence of two care centres for older people. You can do a part of the shopping in the neighbourhood itself. At a short distance are the shopping centres ‘Valkeniersplein’ or the ‘Burcht’. For nature lovers this district is also attractive since it borders the forest of Ulvenhout (Ulvenhoutsebos). This area is even more charming because of its farm for children and open air swimming pool.Neighbourhood situation
