Description of neighbourhood: West - Heuvel

Heuvel (Breda West) is also known as the ‘Staatsliedenbuurt’ and has been built in the 50s of the last century. In this district is quite a lot of green. There are several projects going on for city innovation. Large investments by the municipality of Breda and by different house construction organisations are being realised. Small, dark houses are being replaced by new owner occupied houses. However the architecture respects the design of the district. Many large houses to rent are being sold. There are enough shopping facilities. About 6.000 people live in the area of Heuvel.
