Description of neighbourhood: Noord-West (Haagsebeemden) - Overkroeten
Together with Prinsenbeek, the neighbourhood of Haagse Beemden is situated in Breda North-West. The Haagse Beemden is composed of the neighbourhoods Gageldonk, Kievitsloop, Kesteren, Muizenberg, Heksenwiel, Asterd and Kroeten. This district has been constructed in the 80s and 90s of the last century. The municipal area has been integrated into the landscape. The district is sort of divided from the rest of the city by an industrial area in between. The Haagse Beemden has in total 28.000 inhabitants. The facilities are scattered equally amongst all the different neighbourhoods. Amongst others there are a few shopping centres, primary schools, community centres, sports associations and child care.
