Description of neighbourhood: Noord - Wisselaar
Wisselaar (Breda North) is a green area on the edge of the city. The area is characterised by a long rows of attached houses, surrounded by a lot of green. To bring some change in the monotonous streets, a few projects have been realised in the 90s: some bungalows and small flat blocks have been added. The area Wisselaar borders the Terheijdenseweg (the street of Terheijden), where you can find many sports facilities such as: a covered swimming pool, a covered ice skating rink and a racket museum. The spacious shopping centre ‘Hoge Vught’ of the neighbourhood Biesdonk is where the inhabitants go for their shopping. This district has about 4.100 inhabitants.
